Mke wa Rais Mama Salma Kikwete aongoza Matembezi ya Mayor's Ball 2013 ya Dawati ni Elimu kutoka Mnazi mmoja hadi Shule ya Msingi ya Bunge Jijini Dar es salaam.

 

 

The "Dawati ni Elimu"” charity walk was be held on 12 October from Mnazi Mmoja to Bunge Primary School led by the first lady of United republic of Tanzania Mama Salma Kikwete.

“The First of its kind mayoral ball aims to raise TZS 4.98 Billion towards providing 30,487 desks to primary and secondary schools in Ilala Municipality by end of financial year 2013/14. 100% of all funds shall proceeds towards realization of this project.

Dawati Ni Elimu is a project by Hon Jerry Silaa, Mayor of Ilala Municipal council toward the build up of the annual Mayors ball.

The Charity walk was sponsored by TSN Group, Eventlites, Continental Outdoor, A1outdoor and Vodacom and Managed by 361 degrees.

DAWATI Ni ELIMU is a project towards the Mayors ball that aims to solve the issue of shortage of desks in primary and secondary schools in Ilala municipality where by currently there is a lack of 30,487 desks. The project is an initiative under the office of the mayor of Ilala Municipal Council, this project seeks to raise a sum of 4.98 Billion Tanzanian shillings with the emphasis that the society can contribute and make change to solve the challenges by calling upon organisation and individuals to contribute to this noble cause. —By Hon.
